Lynn Bullock
|
Lynn is a Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner working with babies, children and adults. She is also trained in Clean Language and Emergent Knowledge by David Grove. She presented her personal research into vision at the first Clean Conference in London in 2008. Diagnosed with Parinaud's Syndrome, Lynn had several difficulties to deal with in relation to seeing, including functional paralysis of convergence, vertical gaze palsy, closed pupils so she lived with double, blurry unstable and very often incomprehensible vision. This tended to get worse as years passed. In 2002, her vision got worse and worse, she was no longer able to read, drive or go out alone, despite 3 pairs of glasses and was “threatened” to have to be officially recognised as handicapped. In Nov 2003, out of despair and misunderstanding, she underwent an operation to modify the divergence of the left eye. That is when she truly lived the experience from the inside of the relationship between the eyes and the coordination of movement. She became unable to balance in standing, to understand the environment and was completely dependant on those around her. In 2004 Lynn decided to take the time to put her “crazy” ideas within the context of the Feldenkrais Method to learn how to see. And it is in creating conditions where she did not need to see, by developing with more and more awareness her skills to function without vision that new capacities of seeing emerged! Today, Lynn can see everything that she needs to see and passes vision tests with 20/20 and is helping others to do the same. So, it is especially from her personal experience that Lynn will offer the possibility to participate in a workshop during the Congress of an “ Insight Into Vision using the Feldenkrais Method” |

Maurizio Cagnoli
Maurizio Cagnoli, Italia 1947 è un nome conosciuto nel campo della visione olistica sino dal 1989, anno in cui condusse il suo primo seminario ad Amburgo in Germania. Da allora ha condotto seminari in diverse parti del mondo. Partecipa regolarmente ai convegni internazionali sulla visione olistica ed è stato presidente del comitato organizzatore del XX convegno internazionale di Genova, 2005. E' fondatore ed attuale presidente dell'Aiev, associazione italiana per l'educazione visiva. Ultimamente ha dato impulso allo sviluppo della visione olistica in Spagna, conducendo seminari e aprendo una scuola di formazione per educatori visivi in Barcellona, che ha già prodotto i primi diplomati. |
Maurizio Cagnoli, Italy 1947 is a wellknown name in the field of holistic vision since 1989, when he led his first workshop in Hamburg, Germany. Since then he has facilitated seminars in different parts of the world, He regularly participates in the international conferences on holistic vision and has been in charge of the organization of the XX international conference, Genoa 2005. He is founder and actual president of the Aiev, Italian association for visual education. Lately Maurizio Cagnoli has given impulse to the development of holistic vision in Spain, leading workshops and starting a school for visual educators in Barcelona, that has already graduates its first alumni. |

Laura Canepa
|
Laura Canepa was born in Genoa, were she lives, on August 17 th , 1946. She is an Orthoptist and an Ophthalmology Assistant , graduated at the University of Genoa. In the year 2001 she meets Maurizio Cagnoli and together they create the AIEV (Italian Association for Visual Education). For this association she organized the International meeting for holistic vision, which took place in Genoa, on October 28-30, 2005. In 2008 she creates and leads the AIVON – International Association for Natural and Holistic Vision- her aim is to bring the awareness of Visual Education to vision professionals such as ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians… She is determined to make the two Italian association collaborate, in order to spread more and more her holistic concept of vision, in fact, during May 2009, both AIEV and AIVON together will organize in Padua, a meeting for health professionals. She studies and teaches the Bathes Method in the AIEV school in Milan and in the “Vision Wellness Campus” in Genoa. Teacher of Visual Education in the Study and Training Centre in Mestre and she is an ECM (Continuous Medical Education) teacher accredited by the Ministero della Sanità (the National Institute for Health). She has the third level in EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and she prepared an hybrid method EFT – Bates in order to empower Visual Education. She gives individual and group therapies in Genoa, Padua, Cagliari and Rome and she gives classes and conferences, to spread Bates Method in the country. She collaborates with a lot of health professionals such as optometrists, posturology doctors, dentists, osteopaths… |

Sarah Cobb

After over 25 years as an optometric vision therapist, she now integrates various forms of light therapy into her practice. She has published over 20 articles on behavioral vision and light published internationally through the Optometric Extension Foundation and through the College of Syntonic Optometry . She invented numerous eye charts used in vision training around the world. She practices AcuLight Vision Enhancement as well as other forms of light therapy, develops light devices, writes and lectures internationally. She served as administrator for the College of Syntonic Optometry is presently editor of the Journal of Optometric Phototherap y, an optometric journal that gives therapeutic light a voice in the academic community. |

Giorgio Ferrario

Giorgio Ferrario is a teacher of Bates Method – Headmaster of Bates School Edv – Graduated in "Sciences Motorie" and assistant of Fiorella Rustici Method _ for Consciousness. He began teaching Bates Method in Italy in 1985 and improved his knowledge firstly through the direct experience and then through the cooperation with other Bates teachers in Italy. He conducts groups on the use of Bates method and other holistic approaches addressed to visual improvement. He delivers lectures and debates on the vision in Europe and write various articles on the subject. He is author of the DVD “Senza Occhiali – Il metodo Bates per migliorare la tua vista” published in Italy by Macro Edizioni in 2008. He is founder member, Vice president and member of the Technical Commission of the Italian Association for visual education (AIEV) for which he teaches Bates Method. He has cooperated and still cooperates with the other AIEV teachers of Bates method, specifically with Maurizio Cagnoli, Daniela Giovati, Lauretta Canepa. He attended seminars of Wolfang Hatscher-Rosenbauer on the use of colours for visual improvement and of David Webber and Elisa Fronteddu on Feldenkrais for the eyes. He runs the websites www.energeticadellavista.it and www.scuolabates.it for the spreading of Bates Method in Italy. |

Martina Hohmann

Martina Hohmann (*12.08.1964) is working as an licenced naturopath in her own practice since 1992. Since 1994 she is engaged in naturopathic treatment options of eye diseases, especially wet and dry macula-degeneration, pigmentary retinopathy and glaucoma. The treatment focuses on a special biological form of acupuncture developed in 1973 at the University of Shandong, China. This is known as the ECIWO (Embryo is containing the Information of the whole Organism) acupuncture, a holographic micro acupuncture system. Since 1998 Martina Hohmann is training alternative practitioners, doctors and oculists in this special form of acupuncture. In addition she is in charge of the working group for eye acupuncture at the professional association “Bund Deutscher Heilpraktiker”. Furthermore she contributed to specialist literature, which exposed the theory and praxis of eye acupuncture. Career: - Full-time Natural Vision Educator since 2000, teaching individuals and groups how to improve their eyesight naturally. - Founder of Visions of Joy, school for natural eyesight and breathing development. - Webmaster of www.visionsofjoy.org, providing effective vision education through e-mail lessons. - Author of The Joy of Seeing with Natural Clarity – to be published in 2009/2010. Personal reference to the subject: When my own vision improved to 100% acuity in just 2 weeks after 16 years of blurry vision, I began studying eyesight in earnest. I read the various theories about the cause of blurry vision, and I learned how simple it is to reduce the blur, regardless of theories that say it is impossible to do. At first I focused on the physical part of vision, because the muscles around the eyes need to relax for clarity to return. However, I later realized that the mind is very much ‘attached' to those muscles. It turns out that our physical vision often parallels our outlook on life. As my own vision improved well beyond 100% and depth perception returned, the joy this renewed clarity provided was incredible. These days I multiply this joy by helping others experience similar vision improvement. |

With my own visual recovery I studied the connection of body work and successful vision training. As a Tao teacher I started to connect the system of Master Mantak Chia with vision training. In 1997 I took training with Dr. J. Goodrich. I started to work as vision trainer and I opened up my “Augenschule” in Berlin Germany. I worked as well with groups in seminars as with individual students, guiding them in their prozess. My slogan is: better seen are you able to learn! Body work and emotional guidance are often tools in my work. Taking part in all international conferences, I gained new inputs and competence, 2001 I was part of the organizing team for the Berlin vision conference. I was inspired by Meir Schneider and Dr. Ray Gottlieb, as a member of the „Verein für Gesundes Sehen“ Germany: www.verein-gesundes-sehen.de . , taking part in it‘s educational programs. I learned about irisinterpretation from Dr. R. Kaplan, and by the permanent exchange with my friend and partner Peter Ruiter from Eye-Tools www.Eye-Tools.info , Holland. Since 1999 I do live completely without glasses or contacts, this after 35 years. My highest dioptrien was - 6,25 plus astigmatismus of - 2.25. Biologist, Self-Healing Practitioner Educator and Vision Improvement Teacher and Practitioner Educator, having overcome a serious vision loss in 2003, Sylvia Lakeland maintains natural vision improvement (NVI) practices in São Paulo, Brazil and in Lisbon, Portugal, where she played a major role in bringing Self-Healing vision improvement, in 2000. Organizer of the 19th International Conference for Holistic Vision in Madeira Island, involved intensively in NVI in outdoors parks, courses and seminars in Brazilian universities, in associations and educational and business centers, since 2003 she lives in São Paulo and visits Lisbon twice a year covering an extensive programme of lectures, courses, workshops, vision support groups and private patients and students. Author of very many NVI articles in the local press, produces support materials in Portuguese ( books and CD) for the Portuguese and Brazilian communities. Fernanda Leite Ribeiro is optometrist and practitioner of the Meir Schneider's Self-Healing Method, certified by the School for Self-Healing (San Francisco – CA , USA). She has specialization in Visual Therapy. As an instructor, she is responsible for teaching the advanced vision course , altogether with Meir Schneider, directed to practitioners and advanced students of his method. She is also one of the four instructors certified by the School for Self-Healing to teach the method itself throughout the world. Besides her teaching experience, she works with private patients as her main occupation in São Paulo, Brazil. Since 2005 she has been studying and working with syntonics . She is a member of the College of Syntonic Optometry . She is an experimented lecturer, and has vast experience in teaching workshops. |

Mikolaj Markiewicz is a psychologist, who has been teaching natural vision improvement for 27 years. He has a wide range if professional interests: handicapped children, children experiencing school difficulties, people with refraction errors, people complaining on discomfort from long hours of computer work, professions needing special visual skills in their work. He conducts trainings for teachers from regular pre-schools and schools and teachers from schools for children with special needs. He conducts workshops and delivers lectures at conferences organized under the patronage of different health associations, Universities and other maim stream organizations. of different health associations, He popularizes the knowledge of vision improvement possibilities on TV, radio and press delivering dozens of interviews every year. He made 15 episodes of a serial film for Polish Public Television. The program instructs the children on vision improvement procedures. For last four years he is a vice president of Comenius Foundation and the head of Comenius Academy - the Centre for the Ongoing Education of Teachers and Parents. This Foundation is a leading organization in Poland popularizing pre-school education in rural areas. Comenius Academy conducts trainings for several thousands of teachers and parents each year. |

Susan Worsfold is an actress and voice coach, trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and in The Voice Studio International technique. Using VSI & other techniques employed as an actor, Susan works with actors and performers on the voice and text, in a one to one situation and in production, with choreographers and directors, in further education and with non-performers: from executives to lecturers to chief constables. Susan has been working with Anna Bambridge for the past year, researching the relationship between voice and vision. |

Anton Molitor

Anton Molitor is a vision teacher. His education took place in 2000 by Wolfgang Hätscher-Rosenbauer. He made this education because of his own vision problems as nearsightedness and astigmatism. In 1981 he remarked the book “Weg mit der Brille” (Away with spectacles) written by Ralph J. MacFadyen, andhe started with the Bates Method. After making a detour with an Education as Yoga teacher, he found the way to Wolfgang Hätscher-Rosenbauer starting with several seminars, but finally he decided to make an education as “Kursleiter Augenschule” One focal point of this education besides the Bates Method is a Method to use special colour cards to strengthen vision force. Since 2001 he visits regularly the International Vision Conferences for communication with others and further development. Since 2002 he is member of the “Verein Gesundes Sehen”. Anton teaches at adult education centres and other facilities – today with the aim, to work against the lopsidedness of seeing in the working environment by regaining the habitude of natural seeing. |
